If recorded assets total 12,000 and recorded liabilities total 2,000 in the same currency, the recorded net position is 10,000. This is an arithmetic example, not a suggested balance or target.
A total is not a cash balance.
A recorded property or personal asset may not be readily available as cash. The overview does not assess liquidity, sale costs, taxes, ownership rights or whether an estimate could be realised.
